Just the way he did over 25 years ago! We had a night out with all my family, the first time he had met any of them… perhaps checking them out to see if he wanted to be related to them first, he proposed to me on the way home and we will have been married for 25 years in March.

Already engaged to – in a carpark at a sushi restaurant after a run-of-the-mill dinner, he was acting odd all dinner and started with ‘This can’t go on like this…’ I actually thought he was going to break-up with me!

This obviously far from the most romantic engagement, hoping he does a bit better when he gives me my real engagement ring (he proposed with a temporary ring), anything would be more romantic than this engagement proposal!

  • haxell

If I was ever proposed to again (and I don’t ever want to be!) I wouldn’t mind where it was – but I’d prefer not to be in scruffy jeans and a t-shirt as I was when my husband proposed to me.

  • JamieLMDJs

I would love to be able to write #marryme in the sky with fireworks on a hot summers night. Unfortunately the technology doesn’t exist. They have just about mastered crosses and hearts but words at the moment are a step too far.
That’s my excuse for not having proposed yet anyway!

My proposal was very romantic. We were at my now husband’s leaving party for Afghanistan, I was at the bar when I turned around and saw my husband and 3 of his friends all had coats on. They don’t smoke so I thought they were trying to sneak off up town early. Next thing I know my husband had a mic in his hand and they had all ripped their coats off to reveal t shirts that read ‘will’ ‘you’ ‘marry’ and my husband was wearing ‘me’ he had a gorgeous ring ready which fitted perfectly and I got to share this moment with him and all my family and friends. It was amazing :-D
